THIS IS WHAT BUSH CO. REALLY THINKS OF THE IRAQ STUDY GROUP'S 'REALITY MANIFESTO'

BAKER'S REACTION? "IF WE'RE GETTING ATTACKED BY THIS RAG, YOU KNOW WE'RE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT"

Rupert Murdoch sure has some classy newspapers in his stable.

The cackling-shriek of vice-president Dick Cheney and Karl Rove must have been echoing up and down the corridors of the White House all morning.

Clearly the editor of the New York Post is as thick as a bucket of setting cement. He still believes that there is a way to "win" the 'War On Iraq'.

The New York Post editor, however, does not tell his readers that the Iraq Study Group's report has been welcomed by the families of America's military because it actually details what President Bush, Cheney and ousted Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld never had the balls to come out and admit to the public, or to the families who've lost their sons and daughters to the War On Iraq.

Bush Co. hates the Iraq Study Group's report because it explains how and why the war went so very, very wrong and recommended ways to end the violence and pull the region back from an all out war.

The report was also welcomed by world leaders, diplomats and just about anyone concerned with the rising death tolls of soldiers and civilians in Iraq.

While some genius was photoshopping the above front page, it was announced that another ten American soldiers had been killed by IED attacks in Iraq. More than 30 Iraqi civilians were killed the same day. 30 American soldiers died in Iraq in the first week of December alone.

The Iraq Study Group's report did not advocate surrender or withdrawal.

But it did say that Bush Co. has to take a fast, but serious, look at its options and pull together a new plan, as soon as possible, because all its previous plans and efforts had failed.

Maybe that's what set off Bush Co.'s mates at the New York Post.

The fact they might all have to start using their brains to not only get the United States out of the blood-soaked hellstorm it helped to create, but to also enter the kinds of negotiations that would ensure that the entire Middle East isn't soon swallowed up by a Sunni Vs Shiite war that could claim millions of lives.

Unless, of course, that is exactly what Bush Co. and the dimwits at the New York Post want for the Middle East.

Wonder how the New York Post would explain $180 barrels of oil if that reality manifests?

UPDATE : James Baker III was shown a copy of the New York Post by a journalist. How did he react to the front page depicting him as a 'surrender monkey'?

With good humour, and a biting return :
Lovely," he said as he took the paper in his hands and reviewed it closely. "If we're getting attacked by this rag, you know we're doing something right," he said.
