MEET CY

THE ONE EYED KITTY WITH NO NOSE

Fake? Real?

I've heard about three different explanations about little Cy since this photo surfaced on the internet just before New Year's Eve.

The first is that Cy is simply a one eyed, no nose mutant that was born in a litter of two, while the other kitty was just fine. Before you start screaming, "Oh Christ have mercy! Kill it! KILL IT!" Remember this, little Cy lived just one day and then died.

The second explanation is that this is the result of a pet cloning experiment gone horribly wrong. Or horribly right if you were after a one eyed cat that couldn't sniff butts. Pet cloning will be ultra-ordinary within five years, if not sooner. But not every birth clone is likely to turn out okay, the lab might wind up with something like Cy.

The third explanation is probably the simplest of them all. Somebody has simply altered the photo, done a nice little art job on it, and then sent it there into the blogiverse. Maybe the third explanation is the true one. That eye does seem awful big and there's a weird reflective distortion in the lense of the eye that doesn't seem to match the rest of the lighting in the room.

But any cat breeder knows that mutant kitties are hardly rare at all. But usually the mother cat eats the kittant within minutes of it clawing at the placenta. Believe me, to be a child and go into the laundry to watch the miracle of kittens being born and then hearing the sound of tiny little bones being crunched and then seeing....brrrr. Cold shivers.

This will be updated once truth about Cy is confirmed.
